Acceptable Use Policy

1. Our purpose

LifeKeep is designed to help individuals and households organise important information, manage responsibilities, preserve household knowledge, and securely share information with trusted people.

We want LifeKeep to remain a safe, secure and trustworthy platform for everyone.

2. You are responsible for your account

You are responsible for:

• Keeping your account secure
• Maintaining accurate account information
• Protecting your password and authentication methods
• All activity that occurs under your account

You must not allow others to use your account unless you intentionally choose to grant access through LifeKeep's Trusted Access features.

3. Lawful use

You must use LifeKeep only for lawful purposes. You must not use LifeKeep to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Commit fraud
• Facilitate criminal activity
• Infringe another person's rights
• Deceive or impersonate another person or organisation

4. Prohibited content

You must not upload, store, share or distribute content that:

• Is illegal
• Promotes violence or criminal activity
• Promotes terrorism or extremist organisations
• Contains child sexual abuse material or exploits minors
• Contains malware, ransomware or other malicious software
• Infringes intellectual property rights
• Contains material you do not have permission to share
• Is defamatory or unlawfully harassing
• Violates another person's privacy or confidentiality

5. Trusted Access

LifeKeep allows you to grant access to trusted people. You are solely responsible for:

• Choosing who receives access
• Deciding what information they may access
• Reviewing and updating access permissions
• Revoking access when appropriate

You must not use Trusted Access:

• To obtain unauthorised access to another person's information
• To impersonate another user
• To bypass security controls
• To interfere with another user's account

6. Security

You must not attempt to:

• Gain unauthorised access to LifeKeep systems
• Bypass authentication or security measures
• Probe, scan or test vulnerabilities without written permission
• Interfere with the operation of the Services
• Introduce malicious code
• Overload or disrupt our infrastructure
• Interfere with other users' access to LifeKeep

7. Intellectual property

You must respect the intellectual property rights of others. You must not upload or distribute content that:

• Infringes copyright
• Infringes trademarks
• Infringes patents
• Violates licence agreements
• Misappropriates confidential information

You remain responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to any content you upload.

8. Spam and abuse

You must not use LifeKeep to:

• Send unsolicited communications
• Send bulk invitations without permission
• Distribute spam
• Conduct phishing attacks
• Distribute scams
• Manipulate or deceive users

Trusted Access invitations must only be sent to people you genuinely intend to invite.

9. Privacy

You must respect the privacy of others. You must not:

• Collect personal information without consent
• Share another person's information unlawfully
• Publish confidential information without permission
• Misuse information obtained through Trusted Access

10. Automated access

You must not:

• Scrape the Services
• Harvest data
• Use bots to create accounts
• Perform automated bulk actions without our written permission
• Interfere with normal operation through automated requests

Reasonable use of publicly documented APIs (if provided) is permitted in accordance with their terms.

11. Service integrity

You must not attempt to:

• Reverse engineer the Services except where permitted by law
• Modify or interfere with LifeKeep software
• Circumvent subscription or licensing restrictions
• Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities
• Misuse trial accounts or promotional offers

If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly to us rather than exploiting it.

12. Storage and content

LifeKeep is intended for personal household organisation and continuity. You must not use the Services as:

• A public file hosting service
• A content distribution platform
• A malware repository
• A backup service for unlawful material
• A platform for excessive automated storage unrelated to normal use

We may place reasonable limits on storage, bandwidth and usage in accordance with your subscription plan.

13. Reporting misuse

If you believe someone is using LifeKeep in violation of this Policy, please contact abuse@lifekeep.io.

Please include as much relevant information as possible so we can investigate.

14. Enforcement

If we reasonably believe this Policy has been violated, we may take appropriate action, including:

• Removing offending content
• Restricting access to certain features
• Suspending your account
• Terminating your account
• Cancelling Trusted Access relationships where necessary to protect the platform
• Reporting unlawful activity to appropriate authorities where required by law

We will normally act proportionately and, where appropriate, provide an opportunity to resolve minor or unintentional breaches.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date and, where required by law, notify users through the website, application or email.
